Lk.14: 7-14: Jesus is teaching a religious
counsel more than a social etiquette here. Eucharistic fellowship should not
become opportunities for them to bog the limelight and it impairs true
fellowship and God will not in the least be impressed by it. V.11. So Jesus
advises his disciples to show concern for the poor or the poorly dressed slum
dwellers as well rather than the rich.
