Mk. 1: 14-20:
Jesus chose the simple fishermen who were neither learned nor wealthy. Jesus
called them while they were at work- they were catching fish or mending their
nets. It is Jesus who called them saying “follow me”. He offered them his
discipleship to serve – to spend themselves and burn themselves up. This is the
four steps in which a missionary is chosen and guided by the Holy Spirit today.
