Jn. 4: 39-42:
Jesus is being introduced by the Samaritan woman to the villagers. While staying
with them and preaching among them, Jesus made a growth of knowledge in the divine and faith in Jesus. The growth in
knowledge and faith in Jesus makes one to discover Jesus and surrender to him.
This is what happened among them v. 42. This is the process that a missionary is to adopt in the missionary work.
