Lk. 9:
57-62: Jesus only wants committed and single minded people to follow him: for
the discipleship involves self-sacrifice and will entail a conflict of
loyalties. Proclaiming the kingdom must take precedence over other duties and
pious wishes. Even the ordinary requirements for human life become unimportant
for a person who wants to be with Jesus on his way.
