Mk. 6:
30-43: ‘They were like sheep without a shepherd’ because the Jewish people were
poor, landless peasants, unorganized workers and marginalized and uncared
people. They need a leadership, a shepherd like Jesus to restore their human
dignity. The Gospel is a great sign for such people even today especially so in
India. The church and each follower of Jesus should realize this
responsibility.
