The person
who added this part to the Gospel of Mark believes that the church is entrusted
with certain jobs by Jesus himself. The primary work is to evangelize the world
what Jesus has said and done for us. The church is also the custodian of her
believer’s health of body and soul. To accomplish all the above, Jesus gave her the
power. The Lord of the church is still in the church and is still the Lord of
power ie. Jesus Christ.
