Mt. 6: 5-15 Prayer is not formulas recited. It
is entering into a relationship with God. So he taught the prayer of ‘Our Father’.
Unlike the Jews the disciples now are not tempted to pray in many words but by
this prayer they could develop the attitude of faith and love. Prayer is not
meant to talk a lot but surrendering one to God’s loving hands.
