Mt. 13: 1-9: Out
of the many seeds a few which fell on good soil produced a stalk of hundred
grains. It was a bonanza. Likewise a deeply faithful minority can be the
spiritual energy cell that drives an entire parish. Despite the wide range of
human responses to God’s will, the gospel thrives nevertheless.
