Mt. 19: 23-30: The rich young man did not renounce
everything and followed Jesus. For, the disciple’s prosperity is God’s
blessings. If those prosperity and wealth cannot save them and cannot enter
into God’s kingdom then all are at their dismal end. If we structure our life
around property, then as long as life contains without event, all may be well. But
when we face the challenges of evil or personal chaos, we stagger because the
items with which we surround ourselves cannot deliver inner strength. Real
strength is not financial or physical but spiritual. Jesus alone can give us
this inner substance and vision.
