Mk. 13: 3-9:
Jesus challenges his present and future disciples to live up to the ideals of
the kingdom even at the risk of persecution and martyrdom. He exhorts them to
be alert from the disturbing news that comes from families to nations. There
can be false leaders who take them to wrong paths. So Jesus tells them to be
aware of such situations and people.
