23. V MON of Elijah-Cross-Moses

Jn. 8: 39-47: Jesus teaches us that no man or church or nation can live on the achievements of the past. It should always be an inspiration to more effort. The Jews wanted to live on their name of the past. They were a people whose spirit is dead. Jesus accused them as being the children of the devil because their history is of being a murderer and they loved falsehood. Their thought was bent on the destruction of the good and maintaining the falsehood. So Jesus warns the people of the kingdom!
