Lk. 13: 1-9 The untimely death should serve as a
warning of what can happen to us unless we turn to God and change our was. To
establish this message, Jesus brings out the example of the fig tree, which is
given a ‘grace period’ to produce fruit. We too are in this borrowed time a
grace period to repent and to reform. There is no room for self-complacency.
The time of grace given us must be used fruitfully.
