Jn. 6: 65-69 Against the backdrop of defection and
deterioration among the apostles, Peter’s confession comes as a determination
“Lord, to whom are we to go? You have the words of eternal life”. It is not a
philosophy we accept, nor a theory we give allegiance but a personal response
to Christ. It is the allegiance and the love which a man gives because of his
heart will not allow him to do anything else.
