Mt.
12: 1-11: The picking up of grains by the disciples became an
occasion for Jesus to accuse the Pharisees for making the scripture though
scanty, with many rules distorted it. Everyone would ask the same question with
Jesus- are the human beings be servants of a human made system, religious or
otherwise or is the purpose of religion to emancipate us to an intimate, free
and energizing relationship with God?
