Jn. 6: 47-53:
Jesus is the bread of life. He is essential for life. So the refusal of his
invitation would mean missing of life and death. The fathers who died in the
wilderness not only missed the Promised Land but also missed the life to come.
Jesus gives life to those who believe in him.
