Lk. 1: 26-38:
We
honour Bl. V. Mary because she is the mother of God. Today we celebrate the
feast of this announcement by angel Gabriel. the moment she said “Let it be
done for me as you told” she became the mother of God. Her position is above
the angels since angel Gabriel honour her in the greetings words. The feast
honour her as the mother of God, Jesus and thereby the mother of the church
(ccc.963).
